Motion capture for live golf instruction.
Golf Motion Node records the golfer simultaneously from two capture points, synchronises the session through a central hub and makes the captured movement available for immediate playback.
Camera-based motion tracing can be extended with wearable input for foot pressure, club speed and movement drift.

01 / Origin
Built from a coaching problem.
Golf Motion Node began with a direct request from a golf professional.
He wanted a review and analysis tool that could support real lessons: something that would capture a golfer’s movement, preserve it and make it possible to inspect the swing immediately afterwards instead of relying only on what the coach saw in real time.
The system was built around that requirement.
02 / The Problem
A golf swing disappears almost as quickly as it happens.
A coach can observe the golfer while the movement is taking place, but address, rotation, transition, impact and follow-through unfold continuously.
Important details can be difficult to revisit precisely once the movement is over.
Golf Motion Node creates a reviewable record of that movement so the coach and golfer can return to specific moments instead of relying only on memory or immediate observation.
03 / The System
Two capture nodes. One coordinated session.
Golf Motion Node uses two capture nodes linked to a central hub.
Both nodes record simultaneously.
The hub coordinates the recording and brings the captured perspectives into one lesson workflow.
Immediately after capture, the swing is available for playback and review.
CAPTURE SYSTEM / COORDINATED SESSION
04 / Motion Capture
From movement to a visible trace.
The camera system captures the golfer through the movement sequence and produces a skeleton-assisted representation for playback.
That gives the coach a clearer view of how the body moves through:
ADDRESS → SWING → POST-SWING
The purpose is not to automate instruction.
It is to make physical movement easier to inspect, replay and discuss.
05 / Extended Analysis
Add sensors when the lesson needs more than video.
Golf Motion Node can operate as a camera-based review system or be extended with wearable input for deeper analysis.
ANALYSIS DEPTH / OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS
This allows the coach to combine visual movement review with additional measured signals where useful.
06 / Review
Capture first. Inspect immediately.
Playback is available immediately after recording.
The coach can return to specific parts of the swing while the lesson is still in progress and use the captured movement as part of the discussion with the golfer.
The system turns a transient movement into something that can be paused, replayed and examined.
The technology supplies the evidence.
The golf professional supplies the interpretation.
07 / Why It Matters
Better evidence for a human coach.
Golf Motion Node was not designed to replace instruction with automated scoring or generic recommendations.
It was designed to give the coach a better instrument.
Two simultaneous views, a body-motion trace and optional wearable measurements allow the professional to inspect movement that would otherwise exist only for a moment.
The result is a tighter loop between:
OBSERVATION → CAPTURE → REVIEW → COACHING
08 / In Use
